We’re finding the journey home rather hard. Sitting in the car for 3 days is proving difficult after our trek. To put it into context, after doing the equivalent of a half marathon that includes climbing Scafell Pike along the way every day for 8 days, our legs are protesting at the lack of exercise.
The owner of the hotel where we are staying in Arras is really lovely. He looks after his guests with the same care he affords his elderly mother who we have yet to meet. Carol’s just popping into the shower to freshen up. I’d better go as there’s a knock at the door. Maybe Carol ordered something from room service?
Sleep tight, one and all.
