Marmite?

You either love it or hate it. Well it’s a bit like that here today. When we reached the site today, Jon our leader said that we would each be doing a different task from what we had done yesterday, and working with a different partner. It didn’t go down too well. Grumbling in the ranks. There was even talk of forming an impromptu trade union, convening a committee and issuing our demands. I felt my team had done well and we should be allowed to take all that we had learned about joists and hangers and use it to crack on. A new team? Hated the very idea.

The coup failed, the revolution was stopped in its tracks and new teams were formed. Learning was handed over at the start and repeated several times more during the morning. It didn’t take long before we each saw the benefits and started to appreciate it. I rediscovered how to enjoy working with a circular saw and my new team worked well together and we had lots of fun. Here’s where we had got to at the end.

Talking of marmite, here’s a picture of my breakfast from this morning. It looks like the hated spread, but it is in fact jam.

Plum I think. Not sure, but nice and sweet. Definitely not m@rmite.
