Just short of 11 miles with around 900 feet of ups (and downs), we’ve saved ourselves a chunk of tomorrow’s walk. Hooray! Walking through Chamonix was hot and hard due to the crowds. We stopped when we reached the foot of an 800 metre climb. We’ll save that for tomorrow first thing in the morning when it’ll be a lot cooler than it was this afternoon. Here’s where we had lunch.
Afterwards we walked back to Chamonix and caught the bus to where we are staying tonight, just half a mile from where we were last night. The Tour proper starts tomorrow.
